The October 15 fee switch, and the floor every price tool should respect

Peak fulfillment fees start October 15, and they reportedly follow the ship-out date, so stock already sitting in a fulfillment center is likely included. Meanwhile, Amazon keeps adding automation that can change prices and move inventory for you. The priority for the next twelve days is to know each SKU's breakeven at peak rates. Then make sure every price tool respects it, whether that tool is you, a repricer or an AI assistant.
Peak FBA fees start October 15, and reportedly follow the ship-out date
From October 15, 2026 to January 14, 2027, FBA, Remote Fulfillment with FBA, MCF and Buy with Prime units carry peak fees: $0.32 more per unit on average, plus the 3.5% fuel and logistics surcharge. Supply Chain Dive, reading Amazon's help page, says the fee follows the ship-out date; order-date versus ship-date edge cases are unconfirmed. Amazon's examples run from $2.49→$2.68 (phone case) to $48.57→$51.38 (50–70 lb TV), and it's unclear if they include the 3.5%.

Don't let a Prime Big Deal Days price become your Q4 price
Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6–7, and peak fees land eight days later. A thin-margin event price can turn negative if a coupon, Prime Exclusive Discount or repricer rule keeps it live on October 15. One relief: Amazon's July seller announcement says PBDD promotional prices are excluded from the 30- and 60-day lookback and do not affect the maximum deal price for Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday.

Seller Assistant workflows can now act for you. Write the limits first
Amazon announced on September 23 that Seller Assistant workflows can run in the background in recommend-only or take-action mode. In action mode, Amazon says you approve each action before it runs, and every action is logged in an audit trail. Amazon hasn't detailed the guardrail parameters, such as price floors or quantity caps, or how long the audit trail is kept. Start in recommend-only mode, and treat the approval step as your real control.

Multichannel tools in Seller Central: useful, but keep your other channels independent
Amazon is gradually rolling out tools in the US store, at no additional cost, to connect eBay, Shopify, TikTok and Walmart, link listings, view orders and fulfill across channels. Cross-channel profitability features are described in future tense, and Temu isn't on the list. Amazon doesn't say what happens to connected channels if your Amazon account is suspended. Keep native logins and regular exports, and pilot with one channel first.

What we'd do before October 15
A per-SKU routine for the twelve days before peak fees. This is our advice, built for small teams.
- Pull each ASIN's own peak fee from the Fee and Economics Preview Report or Revenue Calculator, not the $0.32 average. Rebuild breakeven as referral fee + peak FBA fee × 1.035 + storage + ad cost + COGS + inbound.
- Set one floor per SKU: peak breakeven plus your minimum margin. Use it in every price tool, including repricer rules, coupons, Prime Exclusive Discounts and scheduled price changes.
- List every live discount with its end date, and end anything below the floor before October 15. Confirm end dates in the Deals and Coupons dashboards rather than assuming the event price expires on its own.
- Model inbound date and ship-out date separately, and plan as if stock received in September pays peak rates when it ships on or after October 15.
- Keep any Seller Assistant workflow that touches price or restock in recommend-only mode through peak. Name one approver, and check the audit trail daily against your own records.

- Holiday inbound deadlines AMZ Prep, relaying Amazon, lists US arrival deadlines for Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday of October 14 (AWD), October 21 (FBA, minimal shipment splits) and October 28 (FBA, Amazon-optimized splits), so work back from them using your real freight times. 2026 Holiday Peak FBA Fees (AMZ Prep)
- AWD off-peak storage through October 31 AMZ Prep reports that AWD sellers who enable automatic replenishment to FBA keep the off-peak monthly AWD storage rate through October 31, 2026, though Amazon's own eligibility wording hasn't been seen. AMZ Prep on AWD storage rates
- Temu adds a GI category to Brand Registry Temu's new geographical indications category in Brand Registry (all markets, announced October 1) doesn't yet say who may file, so if you produce a Turkish GI product, where the registration is often held by a chamber, union or municipality rather than the producer, ask the registrant now whether it will file or authorize you. If you want that peak-rate floor enforced on every automated price change, GoPricer's repricing rules support a minimum-margin floor.
